Kingswood Knights started the Frampton Festival as they finished it, full of fierce determination and positivity.
They met four different teams and played extremely well against all of them with scores not truly illustrating the fine play, both defensively and attacking, that the Knights displayed.
The scoring for Kingswood was opened up by Max Baker, the first of two, against home Frampton Cottrell and followed by our second from Archie Prewett. His first of two try's in the tournament. Our third try was scored by Charlie Fry with a great drive over the line against North Bristol.
The opposing teams were prevented from increasing their leads by some extremely tenacious tackling and defending notably from Adam Bourton, Aiden Pamplin, Rohan Nicol and Cameron Hackett who all seemed to be straight on top of the opposition whenever they had the ball.
Kingswood made some great, spirited runs at the opposing try line, only to be denied more points by an indistinct sideline.
Our two lady players Eva Wilmott and Ellie-Rose Crook both made great runs down the side lines only to be stopped by very able defensive packs. Other notable attempts were made by Theo Rodman, Lawson Smith, Harrison Abrams and Corey Page.
Each time an opposing team mounted an attacking run they were met by a resolute Kingswood defence who made them pay for each inch of ground that was conceded. Those that stood out, I their defensive roles were Oliver Toomey, Daniel Brown, Travis Oakley, Conrad Hamson and James Howarth.
Once again the score lines do not reflect the sheer hard work, training and dedication that all the players of the U10's have put into their game.
Well Done to the whole team
