This week saw the Athena's home return fixture against Clevedon U'12's.

The Athena's were the last of the Kingswood side to turn out at Grimsbury Road and the club house was quiet. The Athena's decided that wasn't good enough and set about changing the atmosphere.

Romilly Langdon kicked it off with a solo run along the wing and scoring the Athena's first.
Millie Ward ran in next after the Athena's turned the ball over in the tackle.
Jamie Brown scored after Nyla O'Loughlin ran a great line.
Macie Fry scored after Summer Currey and Lily Williams cleared out a ruck.
Jamie scored again after a strong tackle turnover.
The Athena's then tried their hardest to keep Clevedon at bay but they managed to dot down ad get one back.
Macie scored again after Edie Greenwood stole the ball at the back of a scrum.
Millie went on a strong run and Nyla capitalised for the Athena's.
Edie then went on a trademark, jinking and twisting run, passed to Lily who scored.
The Athena's then went through multiple phases and showed some great teamwork. The ball fell to Shannon O'Loughlin who finished off a great move in the corner.
Clevedon nabbed another but Summer finished the half scoring just before the whistle.

12 - 2 the Athena's lead in what was a fairly one sided half of rugby.

The 2nd half began in much the same manner. Isobel Hodges scavenged the ball back from a ruck and kicked off the scoring.
2 quick tries from Nyla and 1 from Lily moved the scoring along further.
Amelia Woodland was super strong and scored after she was set up by some great work from Isobel.
The backs then went through a lovely set of phases finally finding Lily who capitalised.
Shannon scored again in the corner.
Clevedon got one back after some much improved aggression on their part.
Tallulah Lacey stole the ball and it was passed to Summer who scored her 2nd.
And the 2nd half finished with another try apiece from Isobel and Shannon.

The game ended 23-3 to the Athena's. It was a little one sided but Clevedon never gave up and worked the girls hard. There was a great atmosphere from the touchline and an excellent victory for the girls.
