First Game
Winscombe Vs Kingswood
The game gets underway. Kingswood concedes two very quick scores before we realise that the game is being played totally in our half. After a quick chat we now know we are playing on a pitch the same size as Twickenham. We are trying to hold them back but our girls are not their usual self and some poor handling errors lead to Winscombe getting another score before half time.
The second half starts well but again Kingswood is pushed back. We seem very slow in all areas today, the rucks are being lost we are pulled apart, sucked in and over lapped. We try some different things but nothing is working today. Winscombe manage to get two more tries before the final whistle.
Winscombe 5 – Kingswood 0

A big tackle from Paige Woodward sees her knocked out and taken to hospital. The game restarts and Cheddar run the length of the pitch to score but Kingswood suffer again as Felicity Jenkins pulls up with a knee problem while chasing. Again today Kingswood concedes from the first attack of the game. Kingswood try their best to hold Hornets back but the attacks just keep coming. In possession we lose the ball forward and are second to every loose ball. The attacks are relentless and we concede only one more try in the first half.
The second half begins as first half finished with Kingswood again being put to the sword. We lose possession and concede again. Good work from our girls going forward but again we concede due to a turnover. The loose ball just won’t play and again we lose points, despite some good attacking play by Kingswood with Felicity Jenkins nearly getting over, its Hornets that ruin it by taking advantage of the loose ball and score again.

So welcome to the pack Monique Orme and Stephanie Penlington . Also Esme Payne made her debut last week and showed the same great potential which is so exciting for the pack.
