Cinderford Vs Kingswood.

Cinderford VS Kingswood.

K makes the long journey for their first away fixture against Cinderford after an extended festive break. The game is played at the bridge and the pitch is far from perfect but playable.
Cinderford start the game which is played over three ten minute thirds and push forward immediately. K steals at the first breakdown and Kaira Touray rushes through to get the first points. Cinderford try to push forward but K is very alert. Great tackles from Gabrielle Norman and Summer Chick sees K score two tries in quick succession from Gabrielle Norman and Kaira Touray. Cinderford push the ball out wide but again K work as a pack and regain possession, great hands from Kaira Touray and Paige Woodward sees Paige Woodward over the line. K really are applying the pressure now and following great runs we score two more through Felicity Jenkins and Madeline Chappell. More good pressure and K are punishing every mistake that Cinderford make. Even when Cinderford have the ball they seem to go backwards. Three more tries quickly follow from Kaira Touray , Paige Woodward and Katie Hodge. The referee ends the first quarter.
K starts the second period but lose the ball in the middle. We force a mistake from Cinderford and Katie Hodge finishes the move carrying at least two players with her over the line. Cinderford start to play a bit more confidently and win a couple of scrums but K keeps up the pressure. Cinderford seem harder to break in this session and keep K at arm’s length until they break for their first try of the game. K come back hard dominating from the scrum and some good support play sees Louise Merrifield over for a try. Cinderford are breaking our attacks time and time again until we start to move the ball through the hands and get two more tries from Kaira Touray. Some great tackling and handling from K sees the ball finished by Paige Prince. The referee calls time on the second quarter.
Cinderford Start the final session but are hit with some big tackles from Paige Woodward and Summer Chick. K win the scrum and get the ball out from Felicity Jenkins to Louise Merrifield and Kaira Touray finishes. Great tackles again fly in from Katie Hodge, Paige Prince and Gabrielle Norman and Louise Merrifield manages to get the ball over. K again attack the ball and do what they talked about in the break ! ( get the only non-try scorer over the line) It’s Kaira Touray who passes to Summer Chick to get the ball down. We gain possession immediately again and its Felicity Jenkins who crashes through. Cinderford look broken but Kaira Touray doesn’t mind as she runs two more tries in. We are caught napping and concede but Kaira Touray again runs in more points. K hit every ruck until the very end and it’s Paige Prince that finishes in the corner. The referee blows and the game is over. My haven’t the Wolves had a good day !

Man of the match goes to Summer Chick.
Wolf of the day goes to Kaira Touray presented by Woody Woodward.
