Kingswood VS Cinderford.
1st Third
A really wet and wild day at Kingswood RFC for the visit of Cinderford.
Cinderford start but K turn the ball over and it’s Paige Woodward that puts the first points on the board. Cinderford restart the game and break through the K defence to put a score of their own up. K immediately pushes back and it’s Katie Hodge who goes over for the points. Cinderford restart and push forward but K steal and it’s Kaira Touray that gets her name on the scoresheet. Cinderford push forward again and it’s turned again with Felicity Jenkins running the points in. K turn the ball again and great work through the hands sees Kaira Touray in again. Madeline Chappell and Paige Woodward combine well in the middle and Paige Woodward finishes the move. It’s now the turn of Summer Chick to push forward and make great ground and she puts Kaira Touray in for the try. Great running from Louise Merrifield sees her get her 1st try of the day. Cinderford fight back and score but Louise Merrifield goes over again to demonstrate K’s dominance. Some great teamwork and support play sees Summer Chick pushed over for more K points.

2nd Third
K start and its Madeline Chappell that pushes forward with pace and grounds the ball. Cinderford fight back and get a score of their own. K push on and Summer Chick is held up on the line, Cinderford are awarded the scrum but its Katie Hodge that harasses their scrum half and steals to put the ball over. K start to use their hands to move the ball around Cinderford and Gabrielle Norman finishes it with a good move in the corner. K keep the pressure and Kaira Touray and Felicity Jenkins both go over on the next two phases. The next phase sees Paige Woodward go over. Cinderford restart, K steals but a knock on and concede possession see Cinderford take advantage and score a well-deserved score. This part of the game finishes with Summer Chick and Louise Merrifield both scoring to create a greater lead for K.

3rd Third
Cinderford Start the final phase of the game. Evie Coombs goes in for her first try for the mighty K and its well deserved. Cinderford fight straight back and get some points on the board. Louise Merrifield then pushes forward with great support from the whole team and gets a great try. Again it’s Cinderford that fight back and get a try. Gabrielle Norman and Paige Woodward then work well together and its Paige Woodward that finishes it with a try. Following on Felicity Jenkins and Katie Hodge combine well with Felicity Jenkins finishing it. Cinderford scrum and Katie Hodge pressurises their scrum half and turns possession and Gabrielle Norman takes full advantage. Cinderford restart and K use all their skills to hold them back, Felicity Jenkins attacks and is pushed out but from the restart Paige Woodward punishes the away side further. Cinderford win a scrum and again Katie Hodge applies the pressure and Cinderford are pushed out, Kaira Touray then punishes Cinderford with a great try. Cinderford restart and it’s Katie Hodge with the rip and pass to Paige Prince in the corner for her first try of the day.

Final Score Kingswood 25 - Cinderford 6.
