Thank you O2Touch for another great event.

Hello!

I just want to share some of the team photos with you from Tuesday. It's a touch (sorry!) lengthy, but for those who have not been with the team very long it will give you a bit of history too..

So, If you didn't know by now, besides being an awesome community rugby club, the touch team have been affiliated with O2 pretty much, since the last rugby world cup, where the Kingswood Ladies Touch Team (& club) were offered an incentive to operate an O2 centre from the club.

Rewards have varied over the last couple of years, however, this time round was an exclusive invite to their "Wear the Rose Live" event, which was designed to inspire the players ahead of the rugby world cup.

The day included the largest O2 touch tournament with a chance for the regional teams show off their skills in front of the England Rugby Team! Limited free tickets were also available & fans had a chance to meet the team as they mingled amongst the crowd.

So, the sun was shining (phew!) & the team were ready for action! With 3 wins under our belt & in true Kingswood style, we headed in to semi-finals feeling quietly confident! We were off to a brilliant start & when we scored the first try, the team were ecstatic.. Heading in to the 8th minute, we were at a draw and there was everything to play for, as we would have won on points alone with a draw!! However, there it was! Bournemouth had a lucky break & we were marginally defeated 5-4!! We ended the day joint third with our neighbour's & friends SMOB Touch Team!

I can honestly say a great day was had by everyone & it showed what touch rugby is all about! Playing a sport you love, with your favourite rugby family, socialising & making new friends, plus, getting fit & having fun whilst doing so!! What's not to love?! ?❤️

See you at training on Tuesday!
