Following the Club’s Annual General Meeting held in June 2026, Kingswood Rugby Club is pleased to announce the committee structure for the 2026/27 season.

The AGM saw several familiar faces re-elected, providing continuity and experience as the club continues to grow both on and off the field.

Ian Starr has been re-elected as Club Chair and will begin his fourth term, Rich Caines remains as Honorary President, continuing his support and representation of the club. Karen Beresford continues in her role as Honorary Club Secretary for a second season, while Fiona Frost remains as Club Treasurer with Tom Lovell remaining as Facilities Director.

On the rugby side of the club, Richard Shacklock continues as Men’s Senior Director of Rugby and Steve Deery continues as Director of Walking Rugby.

The AGM also marked the end of an outstanding period of service from Matthew Rich, who has stepped down as Youth Director after more than eight seasons on the club’s management committee.
The committee would like to place on record its sincere thanks for his dedication, commitment and tireless efforts over the years, and wishes him every success for the future.

Following Matthew’s departure, Frank Bakos was successfully elected as the club’s new Youth Director of Rugby. The committee looks forward to working with Frank as he leads the continued development of youth rugby at Kingswood.

In recognition of the exceptional growth of the women’s game at the club, members also approved the creation of a new committee position. Liam O’Loughlin has been successfully elected as Senior Women’s Director of Rugby, reflecting Kingswood Rugby Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting and developing women’s rugby.

The committee would like to thank all members who attended the AGM and those who continue to support the club through volunteering, coaching, officiating and playing. With a strong committee in place and exciting developments across all sections of the club, Kingswood Rugby Club looks forward to another successful season both on and off the pitch.
