The Level 3 Coach has put pen to paper to become the clubs new Head Coach

The feedback I received from the players after the session meant I needed to see if there was an opportunity that we could work together

Kingswood RFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Bowen-Hall as the club’s new Head Coach. The Level 3 Coach, who last year won UK Coaching’s Children & Young People’s Coach of the Year award, will join Kingswood in January.

At the start of December, Tom was kind enough to guest coach a training session with the club’s Seniors and Colts and Kingswood RFC Chairman, Derek Golding, said it was clear from that session that both parties could really benefit from working together. “Tom and I spoke after the session and he was full of praise for the club’s unique and extremely well run setup from kids through to Walkers” Golding said.

“The feedback I received from the players after the session as well meant I needed to see if there was an opportunity that we could work together, thankfully, Tom was keen to come aboard with us” Golding added.

Bowen-Hall’s coaching credentials and experience will prove invaluable to Kingswood RFC as the club starts to regularly transition their Knights into the Senior Section. Aside from his Level 3 qualifications and recent coaching award, Tom is the Academy Centre Manager of the Bristol Bears and Director of Rugby of Lewis’ Moody’s MadDog Rugby.

To assist with Tom’s new role, the club are investing heavily into upgrading the facilities at the club, from the clubhouse itself and the changing rooms, plus, the introduction of a first aid and physio room.

The club are sure you will all join with the committee in welcoming Tom into his new role and we look forward to seeing all our players at Tom’s first training session on Tuesday 4th January as Head Coach as the new era gets underway.
