Ironically, on what was a beautiful sunny evening in Bristol, Kingswood RFC were paid a visit from Phoenix Sporting Goods UK and representatives from the GRFU to officially handover our 8 amazing iLite floodlights, which the club won in a recent GRFU competition.

Lee Crocker, General Manager of Phoenix Sporting Goods, gave Chairman, Derek Golding, Club Captain, Chris Finn and President, Rich Caines, a guided tour of the new lights and the wonderful features they have. GRFU Chairman, Adrian Siddorn, GRFU Marketing & Sponsorship Section Head, Andrea Grant and Facilities & Funding Section Head, Tony Swash, were on hand to also learn the benefits of the portable system and the benefits they could have for other Combination Clubs.

Keen to see the lights in action, we piled into the clubhouse, closed the shutters and switched off the lights to give just one of the lights a trial run, and boy was it impressive! Just 1 was enough to clearly illuminate the clubhouse. We can’t wait to see what 8 will do in the dark winter months!
