Improvements Underway

You may have noticed that things have been looking a little different outside the Kingswood RFC clubhouse recently, we’ve currently got a bit of a building site on our hands!

We’re delighted to be replacing the old patio area with a much-improved space that will be more accessible, safer, tidier and, most importantly, more welcoming for everyone who uses our clubhouse.

It’s a pretty substantial investment for the club, but one that we believe will make a real difference to the facilities we can provide for our members, players, families and visitors.

Making Our Fundraising Work for the Club

Projects like this don’t happen without investment, and thankfully we’ve been able to make this improvement possible through a combination of an RFU match-funding grant and money raised through the various events we’ve held throughout the year.

And this is where I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported those events.

Whether you bought a ticket, sponsored us, volunteered your time, turned up to support us, or simply had a cider (or two! ) you’ve all played a part in making this happen.

Our 24hr Ruggerthon was a fantastic example of what this club can achieve when everyone gets behind something. We set ourselves a £10,000 fundraising target and, thanks to the incredible efforts of everyone involved.

Our Family Funday & Cider Festival also made a fantastic contribution. Once again, the support from our members, families, sponsors, volunteers and the wider community was brilliant.

The money we raise through events like these really does make a difference. It allows us to take the money raised by our club community and put it straight back into Kingswood RFC improving our facilities and making the club a better place for everyone.

A Huge Thank You to SB Landscapes

A special thank you also needs to go to Stan Bailey, Scott Bailey and Mark McGarrigle from SB Landscapes. ?

They’ve put in a huge amount of hard work over the last few weeks and the quality of their workmanship has been absolutely top class.

They’ve been grafting away in all sorts of weather and have done a fantastic job transforming the area. The difference is already clear to see, and we’re really looking forward to seeing the finished patio in use.

The work is now due to be completed early next week, so we’re nearly there!

Thank you, as always, for your patience while the work has been taking place. Please continue to take a little extra care around the area over the next few days while everything is finished off.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who continues to support Kingswood RFC.

Every ticket bought, every pint pulled, every hour volunteered and every pound raised helps us keep improving this club for everyone.
