
Kingswood Rugby Club – Management Committee & Non-Executive Roles Update
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and strong club governance, we’re pleased to update all members on the latest appointments and changes within the Kingswood Rugby Club management committee and non-executive roles.
Management Committee Updates;
Ian Starr has been re-elected as Chair for a third consecutive year
Matt Rich takes on a new role as Youth Director of Rugby. In addition, Matt will act as Vice Chair, stepping in during any absence of the Chair.
Fiona Frost was re-elected as Club Treasurer, continuing her excellent stewardship of the club’s finances.
Richard Shacklock was re-elected as Senior Director of Rugby, reaffirming his strong leadership of the senior game.
Steve Deery remains as Walking Rugby Director, having been reaffirmed in post at last month’s Walking Rugby AGM.
Tom Lovell was elected to a newly created role as Development and Infrastructure Director, where he will oversee facilities planning and long-term growth initiatives.
After many years of dedicated service, Nick Hackett has stepped down as Honorary Secretary to focus on other important areas of the club. We thank Nick for his outstanding contribution.
Karen Beresford was elected as the new Honorary Secretary, and we welcome her to the role with confidence in her ability to carry it forward with energy and professionalism.

Non-Executive Role Updates
We’re also pleased to welcome several new volunteers into key non-executive roles:
• Tom Williams joins as Minis Rugby Lead, taking over from Matt Phillips. We thank Matt for his efforts in this role and are pleased he will continue to provide support to Tom during the transition.
• Ben Noakes takes on the role of Social Media Coordinator, helping us grow our digital presence. Ben will be supported by James Anders and Oli Golding, ensuring a dynamic and collaborative approach to club communications.
We’d like to thank everyone, both continuing and outgoing for their time, energy, and commitment to Kingswood Rugby Club. These roles are vital to the running of the club and its continued success across all sections.
