2 Great Charities To Benefit From Your Support

Most of you should be aware that my husband Dave sadly passed away on 12th April; as a family, we were really humbled by the numbers who attended his funeral. Work colleagues from years gone by (Redlands and BT); fellow players from Kingswood RFC; representatives from Whitehall RFC; Wrings Transport; family and friends who had travelled distances to pay their respects, plus many more. We thank you all very much for your support.
As a family, we wanted to ensure something positive came out of such a sad loss, so we asked for donations for charities that we felt would be most appropriate: PROPS and CALM. In addition to the donations received on the day, there were also separate collections from both Kingswood RFC and Wrings Transport, for which the charities have expressed their deepest thanks. The collections were distributed as follows: CALM £1,286.35 and PROPS £329.35. Below are links for anyone who would like further information regarding the chosen charities:

https://www.thecalmzone.net : Campaign Against Living Miserably
Last year CALM answered more than 88,000 calls and webchats and directly prevented 675 suicides. Thanks to incredible support and donations received, they are now working to expand their support on the helpline, and grow their campaigning activity around the UK to reach more men and save more lives.
If anyone feels that they are in need of help, please take the opportunity to take a look at CALM’s website, the information and support they can offer may be the turning point for you.

https://www.propsbristol.org : Providing Opportunities and Support
This is a local Bristol charity supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Once again, we thank you all for your kind messages and support, which has helped us through a very difficult chapter in our lives.
