After Tuesday nights heavy battle in the Semi-Final of the Combination Bowl, Kingswood were forced into numerous changes for Saturdays game with Brockworth.
Despite the changes, Kingswood put on an impressive performance with much more cohesion than that of recent weeks. Dan Colton scored Kingswood’s first try of the match when he showed great strength to fend off a tackle from the Brockworth Winger to go over in the corner.
In the 2nd half, Kingswood scored once again through Ashley Honeywell when he smashed through close to the line, although it was lucky the referee didn’t call for the TMO, because the grounding was slightly dubious.
It was a fixture that had all the hallmarks of 2 sides that were not playing for anything in the league, but yet it was still an enjoyable game to watch nonetheless. Kingswood did enough for the win, but the illusive points just evaded them in the end. 2 tries apiece, it was simply a penalty that made the difference.
Final Score: Kingswood 10-13 Brockworth
