On a day when England showed the world just how good they can be, Kingswood failed to ignite the Bedminster area of Bristol with the same passion, limping away from bottom side Broad Plain with a 2 tries to 0 victory.
In fairness to the away side, the centre partnership of a hooker and someone with the squits possibly wasn’t the greatest formula for running rugby, and with the now water laden pitches making it hard work underfoot, Kingswood were happy just to come away with the win.
Bar a couple of runs, the home side rarely troubled Kingwood and it was just various missed opportunities from the away side that allowed the score to remain so low.
Tries from Ross Lewellin and Ashley Honeywell secured the victory, but this was a game that failed to entertain the sizeable crowd of Kingswood followers.
Next week, Kingswood face a tricky home game against Brockworth. Victory would put some much needed distance between Kingswood and the bottom two.
Final Score: Broad Plain 0-10 Kingswood.
