Painswick Capitalise On Interceptions To Cruise To Victory

2 interceptions from Painswick handed them a deserved victory as Kingswood slumped to a heavy home defeat.

With injuries as they are, there were no less than 10 call ups from the 2nd XV. Ben Phillips was unable to play and was replaced at Scrum Half by Sam Coe. Top try scorers Paul Allen and James Willmott were also out with injury, as were Mike Flook and Matthew Perriman.

Despite all the changes though, Club President Roger Windsor was full of praise for the young Kingswood side who showed a spirited 2nd half fight back with tries from Mark Oakley and Lewis Voisey to come within a converted try of drawing level, but another interception in the final few minutes confirmed Kingswood’s fate as they slip down the table and begin to pray for an end to their injury crisis.
