Kingswood had enough quality out on the field to win this match, but the spurned 4 kicks at goal to allow the hosts to snatch victory.
It started so brightly with Kingswood as their scrums marched back the Ross pack for fun. No penalty tries were given, presumably because it was so early into the game, but from the resulting penalties, Kingswood were unable to convert their early dominance into points.
Mark McGarrigle finally opened the scoring for Kingswood, again from another push over try and it looked as though the visitors would be in for a high scoring afternoon.
However, that wasn’t how the game panned out and Ross scored to breakaway tries to push themselves out in front. Will Harris grabbed his first 1st team try with 10 minutes remaining to pull Kingswood into bonus point territory, but alas there was no time for a winner and Kingswood were forced to settle for 1 point on their travels.
