Kingswood's back 3 were on sparkling form as Kingswood kicked off their Gloucester 3 season with a stunning 59-5 victory over Tetbury.
The fixture was in-doubt during the week, as Tetbury called to say they couldn't field a Front Row. Kingswood however generously offered to postpone the league fixture and play the game as a friendly. On the day though, more confusion was thrown into the mix, as it became apparent that Tetbury had not contacted the league in time and the game was to be played as a league game after all.
With Kingswood lending Tetbury some Forward players in order for the game to be as competitive as possible, they went on to sweep aside the opposition with a stunning 9 try performance.
The backs were in particularly good form, with with Anthony Davies grabbing a brace and Ian Kirley bagging a hat-trick. Captain Mark Oakley got on the score-sheet too, as did Matt Rich, Simon Gully and the pack as a whole with a penalty try at scrum time.
Ollie Mountford kicked 7 out of 9 conversions for an impressive 14 point haul.
Unfortunately, the result shows in the league as a Home Walkover, so none of those points count towards are league tally, but nonetheless it was a cracking performance to kick the season off with.
Play-maker Paul Allen and Anthony Davies bagged the Man of the Match awards.
