Kingswood put on one of their best performances of the season so far, but it was not enough to stop Gloucester 1 Champions, Bishopston, from taking all four points in this encounter.
A packed sideline saw Kingswood dominate this fixture for the majority of the game, but the away side scored tries with their only two real chances of the game to steal the victory.
An injury hit Kingswood played with fire and passion and were just 3 minutes away from a much deserved bonus point, only for Bishopston the snatch a try right at the end.
It was a credit to Kingswood that the Gloucester 1 Champions celebrated like they'd one a cup final at the final whistle, especially when you consider that Kingswood are newcomers to the league.
Two penalties from Ben Phillips were Kingswood's only points of the game as a strong Bishopston outfit kept them at bay.
Injuries to Centre James Willmott and Fly-Half Dean Stephens saw Kingswood play the majority of the 2nd half with a makeshift back line, which certainly didn't help proceedings, but Bristol's No. 8 and Head Coach, Dan Montagu, made sure Kingswood left the pitch with their heads held high after this pulsating encounter.
And before we go, a message to the Bishopston player who took off one of our post protectors after the game and stood all over it for their team photo. Please remember that, unlike some of us, we do not have the money to replace them every week. Thank You
