Kingswood claimed a league double over their fierce rivals after a solid away performance. Kingswood controlled the fixture from start to finish, despite losing both their centres to injury. James Willmott failed to start the game after pulling a muscle in the warm-up and the always influencial Paul Allen suffered a hamstring pull just seconds after Adam Morris had grabbed Kingswood's first try of the game on 10 minutes. An early penalty from Ben Phillips had given Kingswood a 4th minute lead and when Nick Coe grabbed the away sides second try after only 20 minutes, it was clear that Kingswood were going to cruise to victory, with the Ashley Down offering very little in attack.
The repeat fixture earlier in the season was a nail-biting last minute victory for Kingswood, but there was to be no repeat of that this time around, especially when Steve Ridgway grabbed a try either side of half-time to push Kingswood out to a 0-23 lead.
The game then saw the referee dish out cards to either side, red for Ashley Down and yellow for Kingswood's Lewis Voisey after an altercation. This seemed to take the flow out of the game, and despite Kingswood squandering some good chances late on, they finished with an excellent clean sheet to secure another excellent victory.
