Kingswood secured their first win of the season as a mixture of 1’s and 2’s took to the field for a friendly fixture against St. Mary’s 3’s. It was a horrible day to be on the field, as wind and rain battered both sets of players for the full 80 minutes.
There was a myriad of out-of-position players for Kingswood, with Hookers in the Centre and 2nd Row’s on the wing. Despite this, Kingswood managed an impressive 7 try haul with 2 tries apiece coming from Scott Bailey, Matthew Phillips and James Dicks. Liam O’Loughlin also bagged himself a try. No. 8, Scott Bailey, also added 3 conversions to secure Kingswood an impressive 26-41 victory.
