11 Forwards Start As Kingswood Defeated By Cotham

With absenteeism and injuries raining havoc throughout the club this weekend, Kingswood were fortunate enough to not be playing in a league fixture. Instead, they welcomed Gloucester 2 Cotham Park to the Big K for a friendly fixture.

With Davies, Rich, Hanley-Walker, Kirley, Mountford, and Halligan all unavailable, Kingswood had to put faces where they could, so a Hooker and 2 Flankers were slotted in at Inside Centre, Outside Centre and Fullback, with Mark Oakley, Harry Parkin and Charlie Robbins filling the roles. With the 2's in action as well, Kingswood relied on just 1 sub, another Forward, with James Dicks standing by for action.

Suffice to say the result didn't go our way on the day, but it wasn't through a lack of trying. Kingswood bagged 3 tries in the game, with Liam O'Loughlin, Alex Evans and, of course, Paul Allen on the score-sheet.

Next week we are back in league action where we should be seeing a few faces coming back into the fold.
