What a day it was on Saturday as Kingswood RFC Titans’ Walking Rugby held their 5th Walking Rugby Festival, with 32 teams from far and wide, and yes I think everyone who attended would agree another successful one. Kingswood fielded 5 teams , 3 from the Titans Walking Rugby and teams from the Seniors and VETs. Despite a few showers; which were a bit more than expected at times, a total of 96 matches were played, in the spirit of the game with the fun, enjoyment and sportsmanship shown by all teams. We would like to say a big thank you to all the players who stepped forward to help with refereeing and play in the Festival All Stars Team. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Congratulations to Gosport and Fareham Walkers for winning the Fair Play Trophy and to Beccehamian Walkers for winning the Sporting Team Memorial Shield, however all the teams were winners on this day.

Thanks must also be given to the other sections of Kingswood RFC who helped as pitch managers, runners, preparing the BBQ and a lot more to make this day so special. Also to the band which entertained us in the evening.

Thank you all for buying raffle tickets £736.00 was raised going towards MacMillian Cancer and the Clubhouse development.

Hopefully we will see you again next year, around the same date, for our 2024 Festival.
