.....muddy again!!!

Yet again a lovely morning for a game of rugby ..not. The pitch was already a quagmire when the game started and within minutes the players were covered in mud, making picking out individuals tricky. Kingswood got off to a great start with Jake scoring the first try of the game. Some muddy tackling followed resulting in a Kingswood lineout. A solid throw in from Mikey resulted in Kingswood winning the ball and quickly getting it back in play. Kingswood put in some strong defensive work but Gordano managed to break away and score a try and conversion. With both teams having to fight the mud as well as defending against the opposition Kingswood conceded another five points. Kingswood put in a supreme effort and the ball started to make its way back down to the home sides try line. Tom made a break for the line and well supported by Jordan, Henry and George got Kingswood's second try. This was turning out to be a very close game indeed. With the scores level 12 all as the half time whistle blew.

The second half started with Gordano bringing on four new players, after a strong first half Ollie G was injured so Gordano kindly lent a player as sadly Kingswood had no subs. Kingswood got straight back into the game, and with excellent support from Lewis, Dylan and Billy, Josh scored a try. Gordano's 'fresh legs' were making an impact and the opposition managed to get several more tries despite great defending from Kingswood especially Joe, Dan and Dylan. Kingswood were still putting in an amazing effort despite conditions being appalling. Cam and Henry both put in some great tackles. Minutes before the final whistle Jacob made a break for the Kingswood try line and scored a great try for Kingswood. Sadly the whistle blew with the score at 22/31 in favour of Gordano. Kingswood had tried so hard and the game had been a very close one, well done boys you should all be proud of yourselves.

Man of the match went to Josh and donkey of the match went to Jacob ( for being last out of the showers).
