This was always going to be a challenging game for the Knights against North Bristol, a well organised and determined team. The Knights were also short handed and needed to borrow several players from the opposition. The first half was a nightmare for the Knights with North Bristol scoring every couple of minutes. The Knights were downhearted and the game looked like it could be a white wash. The boys needed to wake up.. with that Chris made an explosive run and scored for the Knights, converted by Jake, at last the Knights were on the score sheet. The half time whistle blew with the score at 43/7 to North Bristol.
After a stern half time pep talk the Knights came back with a more determined attitude. Another try from Chris gave the lads the belief that maybe the game could be turned around. Jake promptly followed up with a try and conversion ten minutes into the second half. North Bristol were starting to look concerned as their lead shortened, especially when Ollie G scored another Kingswood try. Minutes later North Bristol looked on as Jake stormed down the line to get yet another try for the Knights. In the last minutes of the game North Bristol managed a try and conversion and the final whistle blew with the score at 48/36 in favour of North Bristol. The Knights had made an outstanding come back in the second half but had sadly left it too late to secure a win.
Chris was given a well deserved man of the match for the second week running.
