Whitehall vs U14's

Kingswood Knights haven't played Whitehall for several years so this was a much anticipated game. The game kicked off at 11am with some great passing from Kingswood which almost resulted in an early try for Joe, but the ball was held up by Whitehall. Well supported tackling from Ollie G , Mikey and Lewis soon resulted in an opportunity for Jacob to score the first try of the game, Jake unable to convert due to the difficult angle. Whitehall were quick to get back into the game and scored a try and conversion soon after, putting them into an early lead. Whitehall were very strong in the scrum but the Knights held their heads up and the forwards gave it their all. Unfortunately, Whitehall scored another try. A scrum close to the Whitehall 10yrd line resulted in another try and conversion for Whitehall just before the end of the first half.
The second half started well for the Knights with a try by Jacob. Both sides were now getting very physical with Whitehall coming back hard at Kingswood. Chris, Ollie B and Billy all made good runs but were stopped by the Whitehall defence. Whitehall managed another try and conversion which was hard won. Kingswood came back fighting and soon after Jake scored a try and went on to convert it. Going into the last five minutes tension was high. Kingswood had an opportunity with a line out; disappointingly, Whitehall managed to gain another seven points. With the Knights fighting to the last minute Lewis scored a try which was expertly converted. The Knights nearly pulled level with a last run to the try line but were stopped by Whitehall. The Ref blew his whistle with the score at 31/24 to Whitehall. Billy was given the honour of man of the match, well done Billy.
