We need your opinion...

Released once a month, the podcast could feature interviews with coaches, captains and committee members

In the past, Kingswood have tried various methods of improving communication within the club. Newsletters proved popular, but the time involved with creating the content, the cost of printing and the lack of ‘2 way’ communication between the club and the fans meant it did not have the desired results. Email newsletters were also tried, but apart from being cheaper, it had the same downfalls as the printed version.

However, after some discussion, we believe we may have the answer. The Kingswood RFC Podcast.

Released once a month, the podcast could feature interviews with coaches, captains and committee members about all the latest up to the minute news. Head Coach Mike Jones could join us in the studio to reflect on the 1st XV’s excellent win, providing more detailed analysis and insight. Junior Chairman Derek ‘Deej’ Golding could pop in to talk about the growth of the Junior section, match results and our plans for the future. The Podcast could also feature some interesting interviews with some of Kingswood’s RFC’s most loved characters, such as Roger Windsor or Chris Cooper, who guide us through the history of the club. Once pieced together, the podcast would be uploaded to our website or YouTube, where you can enjoy it in the car while stuck in traffic, enjoy with a glass of red in the bath, or even around the living room with friends and loved ones.

With advanced notice given to you the listener regarding the guests on next month’s show and the topics of discussion, it will be your chance to have what all the other forms of communication did not allow, the chance to you have your say. Whether you have a question to pose to a guest, or a comment you would like to put to everyone, the Kingswood RFC Podcast would give you that opportunity.

Now, as you can imagine, a podcast won’t be a 2 minute job to put together, but we believe it would be well worth it, as long as we get the listeners tuning in. So that’s what we are asking:

Would you take the time to tune in to the Kingswood RFC Podcast and listen to some of the features outlined above, or does the idea not interest you at all?
