Tony Vickery details his vision for his exciting new role.

I am aware this will be a challenging role, but I promise to approach it with a 100% positive attitude, hard work, commitment and passion
- Mini & Junior Director of Rugby - Tony Vickery

I have been involved with rugby most of my life, having played elsewhere, and I have been at Kingswood for 4 years now. In that time I have made some good friends, some lifelong friends, a sure sign of a solid foundation at any good rugby club.

I love being part of our great coaching team. Seeing the kids learn, progress and enjoy their rugby on a weekly basis has rekindled my love and passion for rugby, and subsequently, for this club. I also love the Kingswood Knights ethos as it continues to promote important core values in our sport such as friendships, enjoyment, respect and equality. Regardless of age, ability, size or gender.

As with many others, I have always volunteered my services to help around the club with any tasks or promotions, but now I feel ready & confident to make that next step and really help take the club to the next stages of its continuing development.

Having worked closely with Deej during my time at the club, I know that I will have his full support and guidance as I take on this new position at the club and I am willing and keen to work with the new committee and learn new skills to help, in any way possible, to keep this club moving in a positive direction.

I am aware this will be a challenging role, but I promise to approach it with a 100% positive attitude, hard work, commitment and passion, to continue providing a safe and enjoyable environment for children to learn and progress how to play rugby at this great club.

Initially, I am not looking to change too much, as everything runs like clockwork from an admin perspective, but I would like to help support coaches more at the club and help them develop. We will start by looking at an RFU led coaches day in the summer.
