The RFU have released the proposed league structure for the Gloucester 3 2017/18 season and with it sees Kingswood rekindling friendships at some familiar old stomping grounds.

Caincross, Tetbury and Wotton are grounds that hold a lot of positive memories for Kingswood, and hopefully some more in the future, as all 3 sides appear in the structure.

Alongside fellow Gloucester 2 relegation sufferers, Painswick, comes the interesting announcement that Westbury-on-Severn will also be taking a spot in Gloucester 3 next season, despite finishing outside of the bottom 2. This will take Gloucester 3 from a 8 team league, to a 9 team league. Presumably this has been done to reduce the number of friendly fixtures required in the season.

Kingswood will also face some less familiar names on their return to Gloucester 3. Fairford, Gloucester All Blues and Norton have all been added since Kingswood last played in the league back in 2006.

Who ever their opponents, Kingswood will believe they stand a positive chance of promotion and returning back to Gloucester 2 at the first attempt.
