We recognised some time ago that Rugby for young men & women in further education is becoming increasingly financially difficult. If they live at home, parents cant afford to support them beyond school age, so they need to get jobs and these hours need to be outside of curriculum time, which encroaches on being able to play Rugby.
Equally, if a student is away at Uni, when they come home at half term, they cant afford to be a member of a Rugby club, so miss out then as well.

We don't want our own future players being in the same predicament when they progress from Kingswood Knights, into Colts and then Adult Rugby, but also feel for the students in the same boat right now.
So we approached 2 of our long standing sponsors (Hills Construction SW and Behling Insulation Supplies) and asked them to fund Student Rugby at Kingswood for the next 5yrs. We then put a plan into place where students can have a run out on a Saturday afternoon, at a club renown for its social qualities, completely FREE of charge. The sponsors were so up for supporting this, that they threw in a bit extra to give the students some FREE stash.

So, to that end we now have a few lads enjoying life at Kingswood RFC, playing regularly completely FREE for as long as they are a student.
