Regional leagues return to encourage more fixtures and easier commuting.

SWrugby.co.uk have announced proposals for the return of regional split leagues in Gloucester's lowest league. In a throwback to how it was over a decade ago, Gloucester 3 is to replaced by Gloucester 2 South and Gloucester 2 North. For Kingswood, this means saying goodbye, for now at least, to fixtures against Painswick, Fairford and Westbury-on-Severn and instead facing more local opposition in the form of Cotham Park, Aretians and Bishopston.

The full Gloucester 2 South league structure has been proposed as:

a) Aretians
b) Ashley Down Old Boys
c) Bishopston
d) Bristol Aeroplanes
e) Bristol Tele (TBC)
f) Broad Plain
g) Cotham Park
h) Kingswood
i) St Brendans OB
j) United Bristol Hospitals

Fixtures are set to be announced at the end of May, should the above proposals be accepted.
